How to Begin the Aquarium Journey
Before you can start collecting rare species, you need to recruit a specialized companion to handle the heavy lifting. Skoova Stev is a talented fisherman who can be encountered early in your journey within the Foothill Falls region of Koboh. Speaking with this eccentric character will convince him to join your cantina crew and clean the empty tank.
Once Skoova is recruited, he will automatically appear at specific bodies of water whenever a rare specimen is nearby. You simply need to locate his floating vessel in the wild and listen to his historical tales. He will then dive into the depths to capture the target and immediately transport it back to your base.
Locating the Early Fish on Koboh
The vast majority of the collectible creatures reside in the diverse biomes of Koboh. The See Fish is the easiest to acquire, sitting in the exact same pool where you first recruited your fisherman companion. Nearby in the Gorge Crash Site, you can find the Frilled Newt resting near a standard campfire location.
Moving deeper into the planet infrastructure opens up more complex environments. The Fingerlip Garpon is located in a small lake situated directly behind the stables at Rambler's Reach Outpost. More elusive species require specialized traversal abilities like the air dash or riding local mounts. The Blue-Finned Crayfish is hidden near the heated pools of the Bygone Settlement, accessible by riding a Nekko up the mountain path. The absolute hardest creature to secure is the Fantailed Laa, which is hidden behind a complex puzzle structure. Players must navigate to the historic Crypt of Uhrma and pull the correct sequence of wall levers to unlock the secret doorway. Ripping away a metal wall grate inside this chamber allows you to drop down to the final fishing spot.
